NEW TRIAL SOUGHT.
APPItfCATION to executive. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) 1 BLENHEIM, this day. It is learned that it is now the intention of the defence in the Tarrant case to apply to the Governor-in-Council for a new trial, under section 447 of the Crimes Act, which gives the GovernorGeneral power of review.
