"AT HOME."
The Rev. and Mrs. T. H. Oakes, who are spending a holiday at the homo of their daughter, Countess of Orford, of Manurewa, gave an enjoyable At Homo on Saturday afternoon. The beautiful native bush and beds of choice flowers were much admired by the visitors as they strolled over the extensive and well-kept grounds. Tennis was played by some of the younger guests. Tea was served in the house, fragrant flowers being used for decorations. Among those present were:—Archbishop and Mrs. Averill, Lady Sinclair-Lockhart, Sir Alexander and Lady Herdman, Archdeacon Simkin and Mrs. Simkin, Archdeacon MacMurrav and Mrs. MacMurrav, the Rev. and Mrs. R. J. Stanton, Rev. and Mrs. R. J. Coats, Mr. and Mre. W. F. Boyle, Mr. and Mrs. W. Dove, Mr. and Mrs. Barton, Major and Mrs. T. H. Oakes, Mr. and Mrs. H. Partridge, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Fenton, Mr. and Mrs. David Nathan, Mr. and Mr 3. A. BullockWebster, Mrs. W. J. Napier, Mrs. Lonsdale Pritt, Miss Mowbray, Mies Whitney, Miss Joyce Herdman and Mr. Julian Pritt.
