HEAVY SAFE STOLEN.

PALMERSTON NORTH CRIME.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)

PALMERSTON NORTH, this day.

The discovery was made this morning that burglars had entered the premises of the Haj-wood vulcanising works in Rangitikei Street and had removed the safe, containing the sum of £8 in notes and silver.

The front door had been forced. The safe was of a weighty nature and would require two men to lift it. An unsuccessful attempt was made to steal the safe at the same premises a year ago.
