MARKING IMPORTS.
DECISION MAY BE DELAYED. (Received 1 p.m.) LONDON, January 25. The meat marketing inquiry has been adjourned for some weeks. The committee will meet later to review the experiments in tho marking of imported meat with the country of origin, but some time must elapse before it can arrive at a decision.
There has been so much antagonism to the marking proposals that it seems unlikely that the committee will recommend marking with ink. However, wellinformed people believe that some form of marking will be advised. The committee's decision is not necessarily binding to the Government.
