PILOT'S FEAT.

BURNING 'PLANE LANDED,

LONDON, January 20.

The presence of mind of the French pilot, Cosins, in skilfully landing a blazing Air Union mail 'plane, bound from Paris to London, saved the crew and three British passengers.

Flames spouted from the engines immediately after the outbreak had been detected, says the Amiens correspondent of the "Daily Mail," and defied the crew's attempts at extinction.

Cosins manoeuvred the 'plane to an emergency landing ground at Poix, and the six men aboard sprang to safety just before the petrol tanks exploded.
