SURF CLUB DANCE.

In aid of funds for the Takapuna Surf Club, a successful dance was given in the clubhouse on Saturday evening. The lounge arid training room were most attractively decorated. From a centre canopy of shaded streamers, coloured fairy lanterns threw a soft glow over the dancers and mauve and pink hydrangeas were used in profusion for the lounge. Modern and novelty dance items were contributed by an excellent orchestra. The ladies' committee present were: Misses Eunice Craig, Ray Walsh, Dorothy Hunt, Ena Nichol and Laura Crook. Among the guests were: Mesdames Fenton, S. V. Higgins, Williams, Misses Ida Ashwin, Dorothy Bolton, Gay Thompson, G. Wynyard, _D. Henderson, Flora Fenton, Doris I&c* Go wan, Mary Johnson, Jane Bowman, Ellen Griffin, Ola Pearce, Marie McDonald, A. Smith and K. Williams.
