A TRINKET BOX.

Here is a charming trinket box for girls to make for their own use or for a present. Use a strong cardboard box of the shape shown in Fig. 1. If you can get one with a swing lid so much the better. Cut strips of bright coloured silk to fit the sides and gum securely on. When you come to the lid cut the silk top large enough to allow a little

wadding to be stuffed underneath so as

to slightly raise the top. Now cut a second top cover of double cream net arid draw a little basket of flowers which work iu silk, wool, or, best ol' all, coloured beads (tlie little flowers are shown clearly at the side of sketch), finish with ari edging of French knots or beads, place this cover over the top and secure with a few stitches at each corner. This makes a charming and original box for trinkets, oddments, cte.
