MURDER PLOT ALLEGED.

POLICE MAKE TEN ARRESTS. A plot to destroy Tokyo power stations, plunge the Japanese capital, into darkness, and assassinate certain high officials during the resulting confusion, was alleged by the police in Japan.

They arrested, on suspicion of being concerned in the affair, a son of Mitsuru Toyama,' the 77-years-old patriotic leader, and nine other persons.

Mitsuru Toyama has been called the "Robin Ilood" of Japan. Such is the uncanny influence and the extraordinary reverence in which he is held by Japanese super-patriots, that the authorities have hitherto carefully refrained from touching him.

Police officers raided the residence of his son, whom they arrested with three members of the "Ten-Ko-Sha" (the "Heaven-Going Association"). Later, six members of the Independent Youths' Association were also arrested.

It is believed that the two organisations were co-operating, though the associates of young Toyama are also being questioned in connection with a blackmail case.
