SUNSHINE CLUB.
Major-General Sir George Richardson and the Hon. A. J. Stallworthy, M.P., gave descriptive accounts of the work of the Sunshine Community Club among the youth of Auckland to a meeting of the Legion of Frontiersmen.
General Richardson emphasised the need during the present economic crisis for citizens to co-operate in the cause of the children.
Mr. Stallworthy traced the growth and history of the club since its inception by the late Mrs. Nellie Ferner.
Mr. Williamson, director of the Nelson Street School, gave, a detailed account and statistics of the activities of the Sunshine Club.
