SMASH AND GRAB.
Arrest Follows Daring Raid In Sydney. JEWELLER'S WINDOW BROKEN. SYDNEY, January 10. A daring robbery was committed at Kerr's, city jewellers, this afternoon. It was witnessed by hundreds of shoppers. A man threw a brick and broke a window in the shop, then snatched a tray filled with diamonds and escaped.
The police later arrested Edwafd Jenner, aged 19, on a charge of committing the robbery. Accused was captured by an employee of Kerr's after a stiff chase through the traffic. Pianiond rings were scattered in all directions. It is estimated that £500 worth are missing of the £1318 worth stolen,
