PRESSURE STILL HIGH.
CONDITIONS FAVOUR RAIN. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Since yesterday a depression of the cyclone form has developed to the -west of New Zealand, and conditions have become much more favourable for rain. The pressure is still rather high over south-eastern Australia, and also to the east of New Zealand. Forecast: Fresh to strong northerly winds, hacking to west and south-west, after about 24 hours; weather becoming cloudy to overcast, - with scattered rains; thunder likely in places; seas becoming rough on the west coast, moderate on the east.
