CANTERBURY CARNIVAL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. At a swimming carnival at the Tepid Baths last night, D. H. Symes put up 20 3-5s for fifty metres, which is threefifths of a. second better than the existing record for fifty yards. The 440 yards Canterbury championship was won by D. P. Lindsay in 5.21.
