OLD SHIPS GO.
WAKATERE AND AUPOURI. HULLS TO BE CUT UP. The two steamers Wakatere and Aupouri, formerly units of the Northern Co.'s fleet, have been bought by the Province Supply Co., of Auckland, to be broken up. Both have already been in the hands of shipbrcakcrp, who have stripped them of removable fittings, and the Wakatere has been used as a hulk in the stream. The hulls are to be beached at high tide on Tuesday next on the St; Mary's Bay foreshore' in Beaumont Street, to be cut up for the sake of their steel plates.
