Mr. W. E. Barnard, M.P. for Napier, who has been in Auckland, left again this morning.

Mr. G. W. Hutchison, Mayor of Auckland, returned from a business visit to Wellington, by the Limited express this morning.

Dame Sybil Thorndike, the famous actress, and her husband, Mr. Lewis Casson, arrived in Wellington i>y the Zealandia from Sydney yesterday.

Sir George Fowlds returned Irom Wellington this morning by the Limited express. He has been attending a meeting of the executive of the Senate of the University of New Zealand.

Mr. H. J. Geddes, assistant in agriculture at Lincoln College, Canterbury, will leave in March to take up his appointment as district agricultural organiser in Tasmania, under the Department of Agriculture of that State.
