COACHING FUND DONATION,

At last night's meeting of the Auckland Cricket, Association . a donation of £5 towards the' coaching fund was received, with gratitude, from Sir Alfred Bankart. Advice was received: from the New Zealand Cricket Council that the following umpires : ha'd been ; appointed for the matches included in the southern tour: — Auckland ,v.' Canterbury, Messrs. Forrester and Burgess; "Auckland v. Otago, Messrs. Mackersey.and R.. Xorrance. Umpires for the Wellington-Otago game at the Basin JReserve, at. Christmas, are Messrs. Webb and Moore, while for the Canterbury-Wellington fixture at Lancaster Park a week later' Messrs.' Forrester and Burgess will officiate. On the recommendation of the junior advisory committee, the third grade match between the W.Y.M.I. and University teams, was awarded to W.Y.M.I. with full points on account of University playing unregistered players.
