FALSE PRETENCES CHARGES.
HUSBAND NOT CONVICTED,

' WELLINGTON, this day. Sp.-sonmcn't on each'of two charges, the terms to be concurrent. William Edward Goodwin, the husband was jointly charged, but the magistrate said there was no satisfactory evidence on which he could convict the male accused. The cases arose but of .valueless cheques for £11 11/ and £2 10/. The police stated that the female accused had a lons list of offences against hei as the result of fraud and vagrancy.
