MORE UNEMPLOYED.
REASONS FOR LARGE INCREASE (British Official Wireless.) EUGBY, December 7. Figures issued by the Minister of Labour reveal that on November 21 there were 52,800 more unemployed on the registers at the employment exchanges in Britain than on October 24. The fall in employment during the past month is said to have been due almost entirely to the continuance of the seasonal decline in building, public works, contracting, tailoring and other industries. Employment showed a slight improvement in the iron and steel, motor vehicles, and cotton industries, also in the textile, bleaching and finishing trades.
