MELBA'S BEQUEST.
New Zealanders May Benefit By Scholarships. OFFICIAL EN ROUTE. (Received 12 noon.) SYDNEY, this day. Mr.. Fritz Hart, of the Melbourne Conservatorium, a passenger on the' Aorangi for Honolulu, will arrange in Auckland for the preliminaries in connection with the singing'scholarships left under the bequest of the late Dame Nellie Melba. To be eligible, pupils must come from the Australian States or New Zealand. The awards will be made early next year. Two scholarships are for three years, and five for one year. They can be renewed for further terms.
