A successful pairs tournament was held at St. Heller's bowling green yesterday when sixteen teams took part. The A section was won by B. W. Oughton and W. Loram (Rocky Nook) with six wins, while J. Cunningham and T. H. Hale (Grey Lynn) won the B section with a similar number of wins. In the final the Rocky Nook pair was victorious by 11 points to 8. Results in the first round of the Rocky Nook Bowling Club's singles championship: Randall beat Gribble, Tongue beat Lamb, Austin beat Cliffe, Preston beat Anderson, Loram beat Alder, Stormont. sen., beat Oughton, Sidler brat .T.
