HORTICULTURE.
PAPATOETOE SOCIETY. The monthly meeting and display of the Papatoetoe Horticultural Society was held on Monday evening, Mr. F. H. Leonard presiding. A lecture on the cultivation and care of herbacious borders was giveil by Mr. Page, who also acted as judge ot the exhibits. Points towards the yearly aggregate prizes were awarded as fallows:—.AlW. Mains (carnations), Mrs. C. Low (gladioli), Mr. S. Hoyle (Canterbury bells), J lr. Hutchina (carnations), Mrs. W. Anderson (nasturtium), Mrs. F. H. Leonard flUies), Miss G Sutton (thunbergm), Mies Daielcy (zinnias)" Miss Page (hydrangea), Mr. J. Iloles (i«eet peas), Mrs Clark (carnations), Miss Pago (vegetable pea). Mr. C. how (cabbage).
