QUEEN STREET PARKING.
COUNCIIi PROSECUTIONS. COMMENT BY MAGISTRATE. Upwards of 30 prosecutions for by-law offences were 'brought by the chief traffic inspector, Mr. G. R. Hogan, before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court this morning. Several motorists were charged with ■breaches of the parking regulations in Queen Street. "If prosecutions for parking like tneac continue, there will be no business done in Queen Street at all," said the magistrate. Mr. Hogan: I fully realise that, air. The council has always reasonably administered the by-law, particularly with regard to the requiremente of the business community. Twenty motorists were each fined 10/ and costs for breaches of the Queen Street parking iby-laws.
