BRITISH TOBACCO. SUBSIDIARIES' PROFITS. The directors of the British Tobacco Company (Australia), Ltd., report for the year ended October 31, 1932, that during the year four interim dividends, aggregating 6 per cent, have been paid on ordinary shares, and there is now an available balance of £31,085 9/1, made up as follows:—Net profits for the year after deducting all charges and expenses for management, etc., and providing for income tax, £585,299 3/6. Deduct preference dividend for the year of 6% per cent, £90.507 5/; " also deduct four interim dividends on ordinary shares aggregating 6 per cent, £488,067 10/8: and there remains £724 7/10. Add to this the amount brought forward per latst £30 361 V 3, an available balance ot 9/1 is left, which the directors recommend should be carried forward. Ihe above figures do not include the company s interest in the undivided profits of the subsidiary companies. The profits of the subsidiary companies have been adversely affected by the economic depression and the high taxation. RECENT REGISTRATIONS. The following recent registrations have been made: — Private Company. General Radio, Ltd. Capital: £300 in 300 shares of £1 each. Subscribers: Auckland—B. F. Israel, 150 shares; R. lerael 150 shares. Objects: Electrical and radio engineers, etc., and incidental. increase of Capital. Marine Suburbs Bag Wash, Ltd. Capital increased to £1350 by creation of 300 new shares of £1 each. Reduction of Capital. Eclipse Petrol Economised System Co., Ltd. Capital reduced from £100,000 into 100,000 shares of £1 each to £20,500 into 82,000 shares of 5/ each. Order of Court, November 24.
