BRITISH TOBACCO. SUBSIDIARIES' PROFITS. The directors of the British Tobacco Company (Australia), Ltd., report for the year ended October 31, 1932, that during the year four interim dividends, aggregating 6 per cent, have been paid on ordinary shares, and there is now an available balance of £31,085 9/1, made up as follows:—Net profits for the year after deducting all charges and expenses for management, etc., and providing for income tax, £585,299 3/6. Deduct preference dividend for the year of 6% per cent, £90.507 5/; " also deduct four interim dividends on ordinary shares aggregating 6 per cent, £488,067 10/8: and there remains £724 7/10. Add to this the amount brought forward per latst £30 361 V 3, an available balance ot 9/1 is left, which the directors recommend should be carried forward. Ihe above figures do not include the company s interest in the undivided profits of the subsidiary companies.
