WILL IT REASSEMBLE? (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday, The Government hae not yet given consideration to the question of calling ihe Economists' Committee together again. An announcement to this effect •was made by the Prime Minister when lie Was questioned on the subject to-day. i Mr. Forbes pointed out that the cominittee, after its meetings early in the year, had given its answer in the direction of liigh pegged exchange, but this course was not suitable to the banks. The question of calling the committee together again was one ■which might be considered, but unless the economists could agree upon some other remedy than high exchange it would foe little use insummoning them.
