TWO MATCHES WITH THAMES. SATURDAY'S JUNIOR GAMES. At last night's meeting of the Auckland City and Suburban Cricket Association it was decided to adjourn the senior and senior B grade competitions after Saturday, December 17, until Saturday, January 7. A series of trial matches will be played on December 24 with a view of selecting the Suburban representative team to play during Country Week. An invitation from the Thames Association to play a match at the Domain on December 26 was accepted. A return game is to be played at Thames on January 2 and 3. ~ Fresh -fixtures for this week are:—n Third Open.—Stonex y. Star. of Eden, Victoria Park No. 12, ' p.m.; Chelsea v. TECHNICAL COLLEGE GAME

Membprs of the staff of the Seddon Memorial Technical College played a cricket match against-the college first eleven yesf terday, resulting in a draw. , Boys.—First innings, 183 for nine wickets, declared (A. Flyger 105, Broberg 18 not out. Burton 17). Bowling: Taylor took five wickets for 66 runs. Staff.—-First innings. 15D for , nine wickPts (Sloane 73 not out, McKellop 25). Bowling: A. HAWKE'S BAY V. NORTH OTAGO.

OAMARU, Tuesday. The Hawke's Bay touring team commenced a two days' match against North Otago on the Waitaki Boys' High School ground this moruiug. The visitors batted first on a fast wicket, making a poor start. two wickets falling for 12 runs. O'Brien made a useful stand, but eight wickets were down at the luncheon adjournment for 90 runs. However, the last three batsmen made 112 runs, the innings closing for 202 (Zimmerman four wickets for. 79). Otago lost its first three battwien with catches in the slips, the board reading three k wickets for 67 runs when an appeal against the light was upheld at five o'clock.
