ADJOURN TO-MORROW.
PARLIAMENTARY SESSION. : YESTERDAY'S BUSINESS. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) : WELLINGTON, this day. Better progress than was generally expected was" made by Parliament yesterday, although at one stage it: seemed likely that the sitting would be prolonged far beyond midnight. It is now certain that the House can adjourn to-morrow. The whole of the business the Government had decided to put through yesterday was finished three-quarters of an hour before the usual time of rising. The Fire Brigades Amendment Bill, the Cook Islands Amendment and the Native Land Amendment were passed. Five new Government measures were .introduced—a Finance Bill, the New Zealand Loans Bill, the Waitangi National Trusts Board, a Property Law Amendment, and a Reformatory Institutions Amendment. It is the intention to deal with these measures, as well as the supplementary estimates. The House will sit at 10.30 a.m. tomorrow, in order to deal with local bills and complete the programme before Christmas.
