GOVERNOR ATTACKED.
ESCAPED PRISONER'S ANGER.
LONDON, December 4
In order to protest against being placed in. solitary confinement after a week's liberty following his escape a Dartmoor prisoner , named Amey demanded to see the governor, Major C. Pannall, whom he struck in the face causing him to fall against a wall. The governor had to receive medical treatment and has been given sick leave.
