FLANNEL DANCE.
The Akarana Yacht Club's rooms were gay with red, white and blue pennants, flags and summer flowers on Saturday evening, when a flannel dance was given to celebrate the opening of the new boathouse of. St. George's Rowing Club. The ladies' committee responsible for the evening's entertainment were: — Mrs. D. Duncan, in lavender embossed silver brocade; Mrs. C. Fort, black lace; Mrs. F. Adkins, royal blue floral ninon; Mrs. C. D'Aiithreau, pink crepe de chine; Mrs. A. Andrews, white pique; Mrs. W. Woolhouse, green embroidered organdie; Miss Ethel Duncan, ivory ninon, silver lame coatee; Miss Joan Biss, white and pink chiffon; Miss Betty Biss, sea green spun silk; Mies R. Vokes-Dugeon, apricot organdie; Miss Nancy Forte, cream shantung; Miss R. Menzies, ivory crepe de chine; Miss Dorothy Parker, green lace and chiffon; Miss M. Beveridge, ivory crepe fleuri.
