ST. GEORGE'S ROWING CLUB.
Tlic official opening of the new boathouse of tho St. George's Rowing Club was held on Saturday afternoon, and was attended by a large number of tmests, including a number of veteran members. During the afternoon the Mount Eden Boys' Band rendered enlivening airs, and the tea was served in the social hall of the Akarana Yacht Club, which was lent for the occasion. The commodore, Mr. H. W. Hudeon, declared tho boathouse open, and the Rev. George Coate also, gave a brief speech. Among those who attended wore: —Mcsdames George Coats, C. Lawford, Nelson Mitchell, D. Duncan, J. Watson, Shirley Carter, Atkin, E. Ball, Chatwyn'Parker, V. Dunne, R. Pycroft, F. and R. Alpe, Aimer, Twigden, B. Balgarnie, R. Pycroft, A. Andrews, J. O'Laghlen, M. F. Whitley, J. Shackleford, B. Biss, A. Swain, J. P. Kalaugher, W. Batty, Gordon McCallum, Edgereton, Morris, Keith Simm, D. Harris.
