EARLY ADJOURNMENT.
PARLIAMENTARY SESSION. GOVERNMENT'S DECISION. GRAVE STATE OP NATIONAL FINANCES. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. So grave is the Ministerial view of the state of the country's finances, and especially the plight of the farmer, with the resultant need for the formulation of a revised policy, that a decision was made at the caucus of the Coalition party this afternoon to adjourn the House of Representatives until January 26. The announcement was made by the Prime Minister when the House of Representatives met this afternoon. It was at first stated that Parliament would adjourn to-morrow, but later, when questioned, Mr. Forbes admitted that it might not be possible for the House to complete its business by to-morrow.
