LEAGUE CRUSADE.
RID THE WORLD OF SLAVERY. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, November 30. The Foreign Secretary, Sir John Simon, speaking at Geneva, paid a tribute to Viscount Cecil for his efforts to abolish slavery still extant in various parts of the world. He said it would be an immense achievement if the new greater Parliament of the world at Geneva could do something which would correspond with what had been done in national life by William Wilberforce and his friends. One of the great tests of the usefulness of Geneva would bo whether the nations would or would not be able to see something real done in next few years for the effective abolition of slavery from the world.
