Approximately 8385 were sold. New Zealand greasy crossbred, Maka, top puce 10d and 7%d; slipe half bred lamb, Pareora, 12%dj scoured combing, Rhoboro Downs, 17d and 16% d. DAIRY PRODUCE. Messrs. A. 11. T-nrnbuH and Co. arc in receipt of a cable from their principals, Messrs. W. Weddel and Co., Ltd., dated London. Trcngrouse and Nathan, Tooley Street, dated November 30:—Butter: 88/ per cwt. Very quiet. Cheese: Quoted to land at 62/ to 63/ per cwt for white, and coloured l/ premium. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency, Ltd., have received the following cable from their London office: —Butter: New Zealand, 89/. Market stow. Cheese: Small supplies available, 64/ to 66/. CONFIDENCE IN MARKET. According to the "Evening Post," Wellington, a certain amount ot' business in forward buying of butter, and some of it in the Soutii island, has been reported at from i)Vid to 9'/£d, which is above export value at the present time by about %d per Ib. The shipments are for December, January and February. Small parcels only have been bought on these terms. On the other hand, some buyers report that offers of 9%d to 9%d have been made to some North Island factories and have not been taken, indicating that the companies approached with these offers have more confidence in the future price of butter than the buyers.
