FLUCTUATIONS IN SHARES. BUSINESS ONLY FAIR. There was a fail' turnover on the local j Stock Exchange yesterday afternoon, but this morning the market again opened tamely. Only one fresli sale was recorded, this being of Government Bonds, s's (1037), at £97 10/. The Ms seem to be fairly stable at this figure, and alter the sale there were still buyers at that valuation. Four and a half's were again neglected by buyers. Holders were prepared to take £95 for the Bonds and 10/ less for the Inscribed stocks. In the banking section New Zcalands ■were steady, with buyers at £2 4/9, aud so sellers. A parcel of Farmers' Auctioneering ordinary £5 shares was on offer at £2 10/. Goldsbrougb, Mojrts cased further, with Belters at £1 2/. Northern Steams were weak, witn holders prepared to take 2/3 for the contributing issue. The Noon Call. There was little life in the bidding at the noon call, aud quotations were mostly nominal. Three sales were reported. In the banking section buyers for New Zealands withdrew, and sellers fell to £2 4/, a figure which is low for this issue. Buyers for Xew Zealand Breweries climbed 3d, to £1 4/9. Sellers x'cmain at £16/. There is still demand for gold mining issues. Buyers for Blackwaters rose from ]9/9 to £1 0/6. Holders remain at £1 1/3. King Solomons have buyers at 2/4, instead of 2/3. Sellers for Government 1937 s%'s (February), bonds and stock, and for 1936 5V£ per cent stock, -withdrew their offers, leaving buyers for 1937 5% per cent bonds (February) at £97 10/.
