CHILDREN'S CAMP.
GOOD WORK AT MOTUIHI.
FURTHER FUNDS NECESSARY,
The need of further funds to carry on the children's camp work was stressed to-day by the president of the Community Sunshine Association, Mr. A. J. Stallwortliy, M.P.
Tho president said that they had received a cheque for £100 from Mr. John Court, and thus were able to finance the November camp. There were at present 05 children at Motuihi, and about 2000 children Sid. been in the camp up to d<?tc. Financial provision had been, made for the January and the March camps, but they still wanted about £100 to finance the February camp. In addition to nearly 100 children who would bo sent to the camp next month, arrangements had been made to camp 30 sea scouts at Waihekc, and also 25 invalid children.
Mr. Stallworthy pointed out that £1 would enable a child to stay in the camp for a month, and the Community Sunshine Association -would welcome any donations or assistance. It was not only a good holiday for children who would otherwise probably not have a holiday, but it also had the tendency to give them a decent start in life, both morally and physically.
