REMOVAL OF MOTU HOTEL.

A.A.A. SUPPORTS FROPOSAIi. SPECIAL ACT REQUIRED. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") GISBORNE, this day. The position of the Mota Hotel, which, on account of the opening of the Waioeka Road, which has now become the main thoroughfare between Gisborne and Opotiki, was referred to by Mr.' A. Grayson, president of the A.A.A. at the annual meeting of the Gisborhe branch. He said he was prepared to eupport any steps taken to obtain permission to remove the hotel to Matawai, where it would serve travellers over either the old or the new route, because it was felt that such a step would be in the interests of the travelling public. He did not think, however, that it would be wise to amend legislation generally & enable hotels to be moved, ten les, and he -urged that efforts be concentrated on a special Act to meet the case of this particular hotel.
