STREET EXTENSION.
BIG SCHEME IN SYDNEY.

SYDNEY, this day. The City Council, after 10 years' delay, decided to give effect.to the Martin Place-Macquarie Street extension scheme. The chief matter to be arranged is with the authorities of St. Stephen's Church, Phillip Street, which will have to be removed. The extension at present goes only to Elizabeth Street.
