MORE HOPEUL.

Prospect of Accomplishment At Arms Conference.

GERMAN OPINION REACTS.* (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, November 6. The prospect of something being accomplished at the Disarmament Conference is now regarded more hopefully at Whitehall. M. Paul Boncour (France) added nothing new to the previous knowledge when he partially explained the French'plan to the bureau, but German opinion has again reacted favourably.

It is not likely that the full text will •be communicated before the end of the week, or that it can be discussed before the meeting of the General Committee, called for November 21, but is liable to be postponed. The British Cabinet is engaged on a comprehensive survey for the guidance of Sir John Simon. "The Observer" says there is no reason to expect any change in the Britieh opposition to all schemes of the so-called internationalisation of aircraft or any other armaments.

Mr. L. S. Amery and Captain Haden Guest, backed by 40 members of Parliament, will table a motion that the House is entitled to be consulted before further disarmament is arranged.

BRITISH ARMS POLICY. STILL UNDER CONSIDERATION. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, November 6, The British Government's disarmament policy is still under careful consideration by members of the Cabinet. An important debate on disarmament is to take place in the House of Commone on Thursday. Great interest is being displayed in the subject by members of Parliament and questions, particularly with regard to aerial disarmament, have been tabled for next week.
