The above society ie in very low -water as regards finance, having a credit balance w about £5 to start their year with. This eW» of affairs has been brought about mainly "J the Government having withheld its uso al grant of £100 for the past two years. TW society, a purely New Zealand one, is keptJjP by voluntary subscriptione, and until recently by Government assistance. The board :°j directors has now, most reluctantly, decided to make an appeal to the public for funds W carry on.
