The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board has received the following cable from its London office, date,d November 4, advising that the' following are the approximate average prices realised for the week, based on actual transactions of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of meat mentioned, and are for representative parcels of the goods offering during the week, being for business done on the basis of delived at Smithfield market and-or ex London stores: —

Lamb market: Good nuality lightweight firmer, witli other grades steady. Mutton: Wethers meetiii" with slightly better demand, with slightly higher prices for heavy-weights. Ewes: More inquiry at firmer prices. Beef: Quiet and unchanged. Home-killed and Argentine chilled beef continue selling at low prices. New Zealand porker pigs: Prices lower, owing to large supplies of Home-killed selling at 6d at Smithfield to-day. Baconers: Nominal.

LONDON HIDES SALES. LONDON, November 5. At the London hides sales to-day the following prices ruled: —Meat works, dry salted—Queensland: 35/451b, 5%d; 30-40!b, sd; 25/351b, 4%d; 20-301b, 4 3-sd.
