INCENDIARY ATTEMPT.
INTRUDERS IN GISBORNE SCHOOL FIRST ATE SCRAMBLED EGGS. FIRE BRIGADE SAVES BUILDING. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, this day. An attempt was made last evening to burn down the cookery class buildings at the Gisborne Technical School. Portable gas jets were ignited and placed under a bench and a gas stove was filled with papers and. other . combustible articles. The burners were lit, but the resultant fire was discovered before a strong hold had been gained and was suppressed by the fire brigade.
The contents of a frying pan revealed that the intruders had partaken of a repast of scrambled egg«. -
