LINESMAN ELECTROCUTED.

CURRENT TRAVELS DOWN LADDER. REPAIRS TO HIGH TENSION" LINE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, Saturday. John Aubrey Leyden, aged 27, married, a linesman employed by the Southland Power Board, was killed this morning by electrocution at the board's substation at Winton. The deceased: was about to commence repairs to a high tension line, and an extension ladder apparently fouled the line, the current travelling down the wire on the ladder to Mr. Leyden, who was standing at the foot of the ladder.
