The Hon. J. A. Young, Minister of Health, arrived -in Auckland by the Limited express.

Captain P. W. Hutson, from Kenya Colony, has returned to Auckland, and is at the Station Hotel.

Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Lowry, of Hawke's Bay, arrived in Auckland yesterday afternoon, and are at the Grand Hotel.

Mr. W. H. Cranwell, of the London buying staff of Sargood, Son, and Ewen, Ltd., arrived in Auckland to-day on a business visit.

Mr. A. J. Campbell, secretary of the Community Sunshine Association, left to-day on a visit to the association's camp at Motuihi.

Captain H. Hollis, marine superintendent for the Commonwealth and Dominion Line, left for Wellington by the express yesterday afternoon.

Mr. H. Sweney, assistant organising director for the tour of the Young Australia League, arrived this morning, and is staying at the Albert Hotel.

Mr. Justice Reed leaves Auckland by the express to-morrow evening for Wanganui, where he will preside at the opening of the Supreme Court on Monday.

Mr. D. R. Caldwell, one of the founders of, the firm of Macky, Logan, Caldwell, Ltd., arrived in Auckland yesterday afternoon. He is at the Grand Hotel.

Mr. P. W. M. Stilling, representative in New Zealand for the Australian National Association, arrived in Auckland this morning, and will leave again for Wellington on Monday.

Mr. G. Fitzpatrick, an authority on hospital administration in Australia, who has been making an extensive tour of the Dominion, returned to Auckland yesterday. With Mrs. and Miss Fitzpatrick, he is at the Grand Hotel.

Bishop Liston left last night for the South to preach the dedication sermon at" the "opening and blessing of the new block of buildings of the Holy Cross College, Mosgiel. The ceremony will take place on Sunday, November 13, and will be attended by the Archbishop of Wellington and all the bishops of New Zealand. The new buildings have cost £23,000, which amount was subscribed by the Catholics of New Zealand in 1929-30. At Holy Cross College students are trained for the priesthood.
