THE GOBLINS.

(By Molly Davies, Queen Street, Otahuhu.)

Over the hills and tar away, Down to where the goblins play, By the silver tinkling streams, Keeping fairies from their dreams; Softly though, when day is done, When the kind and lovely sun Sinks to rest at close of day, Time for goblin folk to play. Out skips wily goblin Hob, Orchards big he means to rob; Swift and clear you hear the call, " Come, my co-mates, one and all, " Who will ride the Witch's stick ? " Come on, hurry, do be quick. "Who will be the chosen one, " E're arrives the glowing eun ?" Goblins all, they're full of .fun, Nobody is ever glum; Oft I wish that I could, play Down the stream one Summer day. Well, who knows, one day, mayhap, I shall find a fairy cap, Try it on, and quickly fly To the folk who never die. Oh, some kind and generous one, Send me to theni,e're I'm done, So that I at last may be With the folk of my fancee.
