EXAMS ARE NEAR.
(By Dulcy Bauman, 46, Stanmore Road, Auckland. W. 2.) ! There's a wonderful peach tree down on the lawn, And its blossoms are pink as the rosiest 1 | dawn ; While the grass is green, As can be seen , From out .my window. But I must study, and I must toil, Nor put my spade to the new Spring soil, 'Neath the silver moon; For exams, come soon, Though Spring be tempting! Geometry grips like a vice on my throat, And why should I worry that *any old boat Goes a mil© in a minute? If I were in it KegreiJs would vanish! Geography's new to me—so vast! I'm glad to know of the world at last; But, O ray slioon, Exams, com© soon, And I know nothing!
