CELERY RUNNING TO SEED.
A frequent cause of celery bolting, or running to seed, is a check at some period of growth. This may easily occur by leaving the young plants in the seed boxes so long that they become crowded. Get them pricked' out early, and, if possible, on a bed of light soil over some decayed manure in a frame. Shade them, and syringe daily, keeping the frame closed until growth recommences.
