MORE COMEDIES.
Gus ' McNaugliton, who attracted attentibn in the recent Gene Gerrard picture, "Lucky Girl," heads the cast of "Double Trouble," a comedy which has for its basis the theme of mistaken identity with Gus McNaughton's efforts to cover up a slight fall from grace by pleading that his double was the culprit, the result being humour of the most uproarious kind: Gene Gerrard's new contribution, "Let Me Explain, Dear, will include Amy Veness, who will be remembered for her excellent performance of the mother-in-law in "My Wife's Family." In this picture she will again play another such role, and support will
be rendered by Claude Hulbert, who is equally famous in Great Britain as his brother Jack, while Viola Lyell and Jane Carr will provide the attractive feminine interest.
Henry Kendall, whose reputation has been firmly established by pictures such as "The Flying Fool" and "Innocents of Chicago," will shortly appear in a role well suited to his capabilities—a Walter Summers comedy entitled "Timbuctoo." In the course of a "breeze" with his fiancee he is told "to go to Timbuctoo." In exasperation he does this literally, encountering most comical hardships on the way.
Another comedy is "Sleepless Nights," which will feature Stanley Lupino, hero of" "The Love Race" and "Love Lies," and Polly Walker. Of particular interest to Australian cinema-goers will be the comedy, "Magenta Street," in which Judy Kelly, Australia's film aspirant, will appear in a leading role
