In recent years colour weddings have been fashionable, and with a careful blending of charming pastel shades some very distinctive effects have been obtained. The bride of the present day takes an immense pride in the grouping and colour arrangements of her wedding. She generally chooses white or an offwhite tone for herself, and permits, m the frocks of her attendants, a delicate play of the colours that fashion decrces are the season's latest. A cake of blush pink lends itself to a most delightful design of coloured sprays and balconies. The rich gold of dawn and the exquisite apricot tone of sunset would cause the greatest admiration. Pale lemon and mauve blend harmoniously in the colours of the moonlight scheme, and eau de nil, or apple green, can also >be blended to match bridesmaids' frocks. For autumn weddings a special feature of the wedding cake is a combined colouring of apple green ana russet shades toned with green favours. What a chance for an autumn bride whose bridesmaids have a fine array of rich colours to choose from. An autumn cake as suggested, stands out conspicuously as a decorative triumph.
