PORT GISBQRNE SAILED. OPAWA DUE TO-MORROW The amount of overseas tonnage in port was swelled by the arrival of tlie tanker Sydhav, from Wellington, last evening and the Japanese motor ship Brisbane Maru, from Japan, via ports, this morning. The Port Waikato is due from Sydney this evening, and the Opawa, which is coming from Napier to complete homeward loading, is expected to-morrow morning. The motor ship Port Gisbornc was dispatched for London early this afternoon. She will berth at the Central wharf to complete her cat-go for London, being scheduled to sail finally on Thursday of next week. Tho local agents for the Orient Line advise that Captain G. G. The Japanese motor ship Brisbane Maru arrived at Auckland this morning from Japan, via Australian ports and \\ ellington. She berthed at the King's wharf. The vessel is to sail at 5 o'clock this afternoon for Sydney and Japan. ZEALANDIA FOR SYDNEY. With passengers, mail and cargo, the Huddart-Parker steamer Zealandia is to leave Sydney for Auckland this afternoon. She is due here on Tuesday morning. I ' THE TAINUI. L. D. Nathan and Company advise that the Shaw, Savill and Alblou steamer Tainul will now make Wellington her final sailing port for Southampton and London, being scheduled to leave there with passengers and cargo at 5 p.m. on Friday of next week.. She was previously scheduled to leave Napier on the same date. THE CANADIAN LEADER. En route from Montreal to Auckland, the Canadian National steamer Canadian Leader arrived at Colon on Tuesday, according to cabled advice. She is due here at the end of the present month. The Canadian ■leader is the first vessel to come to New Zealand under the reinstated direct Canadian service. SYDHAV DISCHARGING. An arrival at Auckland late yesterday afternoon was the Norwegian tanker Sydhav from Wellington. She berthed at the Western wharf to discharge the balance of her bulk oil cargo from Balik Papan. The Vacuum Oil Company advise that she is to sail for Balik Papan to-morrow mornlug to load another cargo. MARIPOSA AT SUVA. Bound from San Francisco and Los Angeles to Auckland, Sydney and Melbourne, the Oceanic liner Mariposa arrived at Suva this morning, and is to sail again at 5 p.m. She will reach Auckland on Monday morning, and is to resume .her voyage to Sydney the same day. On her next trip to New Zealand the liner will arrive at Auckland on Tuesday, January 3, instead of Monday, January 2, in order to avoid the holiday. NOTICES TO MARINERS. Tho Marine Department advises that the cask buoy formerly marking Whale Rock, In the Bay of Islands, has been i replaced by a large black can buoy. The buoy is now moored in its charted position. I Tho Department also advises that the Alters Point Light, at Stewart Island, is temporarily unreliable, and will be attended to in January, 1933. No further notice will bo given. MAUNGANUI FOR SYDNEY. A projected sailing from Auckland at !{ o'clock this afternoon was the Union Company's steamer Maunganui for Sydney. The vessel will not revisit Auckland for some months, as she is shortly to enter the San Francisco service. THE R.M.M.S. AORANGI. The Union Co.'s R.M.m.s. Aorangi is due at Vancouver to-day from Sydney JJJJ Auckland. She is to leave there again on Wednesday" next, and is due to arrive hero on November 27. The liner is to sail on the following day £or Sydney. THE HALERIC. Discharge or the phosphate cargo on the Rank steamer Haleric will be completed at (lie King's wharf this evening. At the time of going to press her future movements were unknown, as the local agent., Messrs. Henderson and Macfarlane, hau not received orders. THE PORT GISBORNTC. The loading of the Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor sllip Port Gisborne was completed at the Central wharf last evening, members of the crew handling the frozen meat which the watersiders declined to touch yesterday morning. The ship went to an anchorage in the stream this morning to wait for mails and papers, and sailed early this afternoon for London, via Panama. Dr. and Mrs. Costello and Mr. Pimentcl were passengers by the ship. UNION COMPANY'S STEAMERS. The Waipiata is to sail at 5 p.m. to-day for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedln, Bluff and Timaru. The Karetu left Suva yesterday afternoon for Auckland, where she is due early next week. After discharge here she is to go to Newcastle and Sydney. The Karepo is due to arrive from Napier at 7 a.m. to-morrow, and will berth at the Western wharf. She is expected to sail to-morrow afternoon for Greymouth and Westport. The Kini was expected to leave Gisborne early this afternoon for Auckland. After discharge here she is to return to Gisborne. The Waimea is to leave Napier this afternoon for Auckland.
