SYDNEY WOOL SALES.
SYDNEY, November 3.
At the Sydney wool sales to-day 10,391 bales were offered, and 9140 were sold. Also 873 bales were sold privately. There was keen general competition and the market ruled firm—quite equal to the previous days of the week. Greasy Merino sold to 16% d. The average price of the wool sold at Sydney to the end of October was £11 0/2 a bale, and 9/1 a lb. CURRENT PRICES. (Received 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Wool prices current on the Sydney market are:—Greasy Merino fleece, best 17%3 per lb, good 13d to 14% d, average lid to 12% d; free or nearly free, Best 13d to 15% d, good 12d to 13d, average lOd to lid; light seedy or burry, good lid to 12, average B%d to 9%d: lambs', light seedy or burry, best to 12% d, average 6d to 7d; comeback fleece, fine 10% d to ll%d; crossbred, fine lOd to ll%d, medium Wrik> 7ted, coarse 4d to sd.
