YACHT CAPSIZES.
MISHAP EST MOTUIHI CHANNEL. A gust of wind, coming just as the vessel was going about, was responsible for the capsize of a yacht in the Motuihi Channel' yesterday afternoon. After clinging for about a quarter of an hour to the hull, the crew of two were picked up 'by a passing fishing launch, and taken back to port. The yacht was righted' and towed back, and the only damage suffered was a broken bowsprit and two or three stays carried away. The owner, Mr. P. Speedy, and Mr. j3. Whitson, of Vauxhall Road, Devonport, were on board. The ve6sel was running through a choppy sea near Rakino about 3.30 p.m., when the gust came.
