THE CITY COUNCIL AND MR. DALLIMORE.
Evidently the ''powers that be" have <been at work. Mr. Dallimore paid for the Town Hall in advance for so many weeks ending November 7. On Monday a meeting took place and notice was given to ihim that he could not get the Town Hall on the 7th and his money was returned. Why should such treatment be given ihim without reason? British fair play has, not been given ihim. We can only guese who is behind this movement. Could not the "powers that be" have given, notice before Sunday, October 30, so that Mr. Dallimore could ihave had the opportunity of making arrangements and communicating the facts to those assembled in the Town Hall that evening? Mr. Dallimore ihad paid for the Town Hall and expected in all good faith that •the City Council would honour their agreement. JUSTICE.
